Dr. Wesley Sutton
Dr. Wesley Sutton was born and raised in Winnipeg, MB. He completed a BSc from the University of Manitoba, and subsequently attended medical school at the same institution, graduating in 2010. Dr. Sutton relocated to southern Ontario for his psychiatry residency at the University of Toronto. After finishing his general psychiatry residency, Dr. Sutton completed an extra year of training in forensic psychiatry at the University of Toronto. As of September 2016, he holds dual accreditation in general and forensic psychiatry from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
During his residency, Dr. Sutton developed an interest in the assessment and treatment of ADHD in adults. In 2015, he joined the Possibilities Club in Toronto, focusing on the assessment of adults with suspected ADHD. As a forensic specialist, Dr. Sutton's interests include the influence of ADHD on criminality and recidivism, and the development and implementation of screening tools to assist in the diagnosis of ADHD in the correctional setting.
